Matrix Effect 2 - Basic Tutorial

This tutorial is to create an effect that will remind you of the matrix. Follow the steps and you can get an image that looks like the result at the bottom.

Step One. Make a new document 400 by 100 pixels, with a white background.

Start by making a new document

Step Two. Fill the background with black.

Step Three. Right click on any image and choose Open with... and choose notepad.

Step Four. When opened in notepad, select some of the code and choose copy.

Step Five. Go back to Photoshop and select the type tool, and select the whole project.

Step Six. Right click anywhere within the selected space and choose paste.

Step Seven. Click the vertical text tool This is what it looks like, located next to the font select area.

Step Eight. Right click on the text layer and choose blending options.

Step Nine. Go to outer glow, leave the settings as they are, and click ok.

Step Ten. Go to File/Save and save your project.

Your final result should look something like this:
